The Bike Bus was inspired by Trent Bona photography and created in 2015 by Jesse Blumenthal .
The Gunnison Valley Recreation Bus – 2016
The Gunnison Valley Recreation Bus was created in 2016 by Megan Craver. With details of outdoor enthusiasts like kayakers, hikers, climbers, and this colorful bus captures the recreational life here in the Gunnison Valley.
The Pineapple Express Bus – 2016
The Pineapple Express Bus was created in 2016 by Craig Burbank.
The Furry Friends Bus – 2016
The Furry Friends Bus was created in 2016 by Heather Bischoff. The bus was a fundraiser for Paradise Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Crested Butte. The artist set up a contest in which donations were made to submit photos of pets. The chosen photographs, one cat and one dog, would have their portrait painted on the back of the bus. The artist also included paw prints with the names of all the donors’ pets throughout the bus.

The Wildflower Bus “Fleur Sauvage” – 2018
The Second Wildflower Bus was created and pianted by local artist, Lian Canty, in 2018.
The Mental Health Bus – 2022
The Mental Health Bus was painted in 2022 by artist Luke Schroeder and friends and created in collaboration with Crested Butte State of Mind and the Gunnison County Substance Abuse Prevention Project. This bus symbolizes community cohesion, connectedness, and belonging for years to come.
