FirstTracks is reaching new places throughout Mt. Crested Butte!
Summer service to begin May 24th through September 29th, 2024.
Mountain Express was excited to replace our underperforming condo fixed route with a pilot on-demand service at the beginning of the Winter 23/24 season.
We are excited to share that FirstTracks will return with summer service May 24th through September 29th, 2024!
FirstTracks will pick you up at your front door, and transport you anywhere in the below service area, including Mountaineer Square. The service will run from 7:15AM to 12:15 AM and connect you to our Town Shuttle, the amenities of the CBMR base area or the Gunnison Valley RTA.

We’ve got you covered! Find a complimentary phone in the Mt. Crested Butte Transit Center at the Information Desk. From there, you can call FirstTracks directly at (970) 713-4070 to book a ride.
FirstTracks has extra vans that are utilized during busy visitation periods. FirstTracks served 800 riders on New Years Eve, with minimal wait times.
FirstTracks works in connection with the Mountain Express Town Shuttles. FirstTracks will transport you from North Mt. Crested Butte to the Mt. Crested Butte Transit Center where you can connect to the Mountain Express Town Shuttle. Enjoy your time in the Town of Crested Butte, and then take the Town Shuttle back up to the Mt. Crested Butte Transit Center to connect with FirstTracks to take you back home.
FirstTracks can accommodate groups up to 12 people in one van and offers multiple vans for larger groups. Be sure to notate the number of riders in your group when booking a ride or leave a comment.
All FirstTracks vehicles are now equipped with carseats and boosters available for complimentary use.
Yes, FirstTracks has a ADA accessible van. When booking a ride, select the “wheelchair” option on the passenger selection screen. This will dispatch the ride and notify drivers that a an ADA accessible vehicle is needed.
